Our Mission – Helping Children Learn by providing PreK-6th grade supplemental materials to support and enrich the curriculum.
Since 1979, Evan-Moor has offered affordable supplemental materials in a wide range of curriculum areas, including reading, writing, science, math, and ELL. Over the years we established a reputation for providing creative, practical, age-appropriate resources that support and enrich the curriculum.
Evan-Moor materials are written and edited by educators and aligned with current standards and best educational practices. The editorial staff is responsive to customer feedback, regularly revising and updating our titles. We are very proud that our books engage students in the learning process.
A Little History
In 1979, Joy Evans and Jo Ellen Moore were team-teaching first grade in a Title I school. They decided to put ideas that worked for their students into a book. Bill Evans (Joy’s brother) joined the effort to start Evan-Moor Educational Publishers with one book. Bill and Joy’s parents’ garage served as the warehouse and shipping facility. Today Evan-Moor offers over 450 titles. Evan-Moor is located in a 20,000 square foot facility in Monterey, California, and employs 65 dedicated professionals.
